My "Summer 2008" kick-off was a visit to the Sanctuary of Mother Mary in Simala, Sibonga, Cebu. The church is situated on the top of the mountain and is well known for the miraculous healing power of our Virgin Mary. Many people from all walks in life go there usually every 13th day of the month. The shrine is at least 2 kilometers away from the highway at has become popular because of a number of miracles associated with it.
A perfect niche for pilgrims. A peaceful place to ask for divine intervension, ailments cure, thanksgiving, and petition.
